I doubt if whoever romanced and tried to "borrow" money from me will be able to register on match.com again since I reported him, but beware of him on other dating sites. He goes by the name of Martin Lewis Thomas (has Facebook and Myspace accounts). Claims to be from Wilkes-Barre, Pa and the son of an Italian father and American mother. Also says he is widowed and his wife and one of his two sons were killed in an auto accident 5 years ago. In my case, he had to travel to Malaysia to sell property that his parents owned there. He was on line for me not matter when I logged in and talked more love and romance then I have ever heard. And yes...I fell head over hills in love after a few weeks of his words of love and promises for a beautiful future together. Even sent me real estate listings of expensive homes in my home town for me to "pick one" for him to buy for "us" when he flew into my local airport with his large check from selling the property. He even emailed me a copy of the 8 million 9 hundred thousand dollar check he receive after the sale was final. Now the good part..he had depleted his money he brought with him and couldn't use the check until he arrived in the US. So he needed me to send money via Western Union to his travel agent in Heflin, Al. Barbara Maxwell. I had thought all along this is too good to be true, but was blinded by words of love until the request for money came. That is when I started doing google searches on his email which is martincare4love@yahoo.com. It popped right up on the scammer email list. I see he is also going by the name of Alex Grant according to another similar romance scam report I read on this web site. When I refused to send the money and told him I knew he was trying to scam me, at first I got the "Oh...you are making me cry by doubting my love for you", which quickly turned to anger that I was a wicked woman not deserving of his love or any mans love. Ladies beware! He is a sweet talker and will promise you the moon...all lies and don't fall for the handsome smile and pics with his beloved pets. He is a real heartbreaker.
